Inspiring Presentation Sites and Software for Your Business

Hi there.

On Wednesday the 18th of October I attended the usual InterAction meeting at the Let’s Go! Business Hub at Enterprise Enfield.  Every week as part of our hub membership, members can attend a mini networking session with other hub users. If you’d like to know more about this, other events or general information about the Enfield Business Centre, click here.

This week’s theme at the meeting was Pecha Kucha, a Japanese style of presentation. Some hub members presented their businesses and business journeys in this style.

The Pecha Kucha website gives more information about this style of presentation which only allows the use of  20 slides with 20 seconds duration per slide of just images. Pecha Kucha is translated as chit-chat,  yet it really is not as easy as that. All five of us, including Janet Efere of Tadpole Training, Ruth Pearson of Listening To Your Voice,  and Nuni Randall of Enfair who presented were glad that we took part but did not necessarily find it the easiest presentation to do.

If you are looking for a new way to present back to your colleagues then this may be for you, if not here are some websites and software for you to check out.

I have experience of using Pow Toon for animated videos which can be fun, but be prepared to take some time out to work on them; especially if you are a perfectionist.

I used Prezi in my blogging workshops. and the feature photo is from my Introduction to Blogging workshop in April.

If you’re happy with the presentation software and style that you currently use then great. If not, why not try something new?

With so many new platforms and software entering the market all the time, soon you will be spoilt for choice. You need never make a dull presentation ever again!

I hope that you found the information useful.
